Arope Insurance has signed a memorandum of understanding with the leading consulting firm, Capital Concept, to begin its journey towards adopting environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) standards through the ESG program supported by the Trade and Investment Facilitation (TIF) project funded by USAID, with the aim of obtaining the ESG certification.
Despite the exceptional circumstances the country is going through, Arope is among the first 100 Lebanese companies to join this program. Being a pioneering company in its field, Arope is constantly striving to develop the insurance sector and expand its horizons by adopting more sustainable management systems, while reducing its impact on the environment, enhancing customer loyalty and attracting new investments. Arope will also be committed to improving its social responsibility by fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion and building a high-performance team. This is in addition to applying effective governance in all aspects of its business, which reflects the basis of its commitment to continuous excellence.
The ESG Certificate provides many benefits to companies that have obtained it, the most important of which are the development of management practices, increased financial and investment transparency, the development of performance and competitiveness in order to achieve strategic goals, while fully complying with international sustainability standards.
